| Hi my name is Shelby Mendoza and I am Holy Shepherd's nursery and Sunday School teacher. I have been here at church for several years. I am excited that we are beginning a new Sunday School program. I have my multiple subject teaching credential and work as a substitute teacher during the week. I am also first aid and CPR trained and have had many years of experience with working with children of all ages. | Nursery care is provided in the children room inside the fellowship hall for children too young to sit through the church service. If you are visiting our church, the children room can be found by entering the fellowship hall and going straight through the hall, when you reach the hallway the children’s room will be the first door on right. It is adjacent to the playground. Shelby will be watching your children as they explore age appropriate toys, colors, and the playground while you enjoy the church service. The children will return to church for a communion blessing if you wish. |
| Our Sunday school program began in July 2010. We have a class for two to four years old that meet during the church service at 10 am. There is also a class of for children between the ages of 6-8 who also meet at 10am. After Sunday school children will remain in the nursery unless you wish for them to return to the church following the bible lesson. If there is enough interest an older class can easily begin at 9:30 if arrangements with Shelby are made. We will begin with the Old Testament with the story of Creation, Noah's Ark as well as other stories from the bible leading up to the birth of Christ.
