Ray Lathrop: Church Council Secretary
Ray was born in Glendale, CA in 1934 and was married to Pat in 1956 at Lutheran Church of
the Redeemer in Sherman Oaks, CA. Since Ray was in the U. S. Army at the time, they lived in
El Paso, TX, where Ray was an instructor at the Guided Missile School in Fort Bliss, until 1958.
Since then, they have lived in the San Fernando Valley. They raised four children, a daughter and
three sons. Their daughter has blessed them with two grandchildren who are both graduates of
Point Loma Nazarene University. Ray has worked as an electric motor design engineer since
1958. They started attending Holy Shepherd Lutheran Church in January 2009 and joined the
congregation on Easter Sunday that year, transferring their membership from Bethlehem Lutheran
Church in Mission Hills.

Jymme-Lyn Archer: Church Council Treasurer and Office Manager
Jymme-Lyn was raised in Missouri where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business
Administration and Psychology with a minor in Leadership Studies at William Jewell College in
Liberty, MO. She has worked in the Financial Services industry since graduating in 2001. In
2004, she married Scott Archer and they have two boys, William and Harrison. The Archers
joined Holy Shepherd Lutheran Church in April of 2009.
Jymme-Lyn was raised in Missouri where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business

Tina is a first generation American and the youngest of four. She has part of a Lutheran family
for as long as she can remember. Her bi-cultural upbringing (American-Lithuanian) has inspired
her connection to the global community. She loves to spend time outdoors, photography, cook,
garden and volunteer as a child advocate for the National Association for the Education of
Young Childre. Her newest and most amazing role is being a full time mom to her dear son,
Devon Shane.
She is a people person for sure but her truest gift is working with young children. She has served
in the field of early childhood education for over 20 years. "It is a thrill to join church council. I
look forward to getting to know each of you and the community of Chatsworth."

Shelby Mendoza: Sunday School Ministries
Shelby has been at Holy Shepherd for about 10 years.She started out helping her
grandmother take care of the children during service and eventually took over the childcare
when she was unable to do so. She attended California State University- Northridge (CSUN)
where she earned a Bachelor's Degree as well as her teaching credential. She has taught most
of the elementary grades and during the month of July she teaches at CSUN providing
enrichment science classes for elementary students. She is currently working on her Master's
Degree in Educational Psychology at CSUN and will hopefully have it completed by May
2011.
